Good Morning Book Lovers!

Leading off today’s list 88 Kindle awe inspiring Kindle reads are two outstanding titles I highly recommend:

“When Faith Becomes Sight: Opening Your Eyes to God’s Presence All Around You” by Beth A. Booram. This book won the 2019 IVP Reader’s Choice award. This is a refreshing read that will help you grow in confidence that God is attentive to you and involved in your life as you learn to recognize God in and around you, reflect on your experience, and respond faithfully to God’s presence and action in your life. Along the way you may venture across new streets and encounter unfamiliar terrain as you notice how God is speaking and what God is doing.

“Reading this book is like sitting with a wise grandfather and hearing stories that will become practical guides on your quest to find God in your life!” (Reviewer)

“In the sea of books on spiritual growth, ‘When Faith Becomes Sight’ stands out as one of the most palpably felt, honestly spoken, whole-bodied expressions of real life with God I have read in a long time. It combines the beating heart of a memoir with the intellect, creativity, and humility of hard-won wisdom” (Reviewer)

“The Reason for God: Belief in an Age of Skepticism” by Timothy Keller. This man has been hailed as a modern day C.S. Lewis. His books are a a “saw-sharpening” experience for the both mind and spirit. All of his books are good, but this one is especially noteworthy. Excellent reading for Christians and non-Christians alike. Using literature, philosophy, real-life conversations, and potent reasoning, Keller explains how the belief in a Christian God is, in fact, a sound and rational one. To true believers he offers a solid platform on which to stand their ground against the backlash to religion created by the Age of Skepticism. And to skeptics, atheists, and agnostics, he provides a challenging argument for pursuing the reason for God.

“Tim Keller’s treatment of the Christian faith is one of the most helpful books I’ve read. Often the Christian faith seems to those outside of it to be foolish and unreasonable. With great humility, Keller shows how rather than being a leap of blind faith the gospel answers some of life’s deepest questions. He doesn’t try to skirt around objections but faces them head on. I would recommend this book to anyone who wants to know about the Christian faith, and also to fellow Christians.” (Reviewer)

There are many other excellent titles and authors to choose from today, so dive in!

Happy Reading!
